Addiction is more common than you may imagine. There were over 20.6 million Americans suffering from addiction last year. The most common addictions come from alcohol and tobacco, but addiction is not limited to these substances. The majority of addiction sufferers do not seek treatment, though those who do typically see a significant improvement. The most prevalent reason for not seeking help is that the victim or victim's loved ones do not diagnose the problem.
